Thailand Music Festival Calendar 2027: Dates and Destinations

2026–2027 festival season · Updated 3 October 2026

Conceptual festival illustration: A continuous panoramic travel landscape connecting a northern mountain music festival, a Bangkok music street and tropical island stage at sunset, no calendar graphics

January 2027 offers a useful choice between southern psychedelic gatherings, a Chiang Mai music-and-arts weekend and beachside trance in Pattaya. Gaia Beats, 22–24 January, is our standout for music, creative activity and a conscious camping community.

This calendar starts with the December 2026 events that lead into the New Year season, then puts the January weekends in date order. Use the destination column as well as the dates: Thailand’s northern mountains, eastern coast and southern beaches require different travel plans.

EDC Thailand 18–20 December 2026 Rhythm Park, Phuket International electronic music Tickets

Tomorrowland’s official page marks its 2026 edition sold out. Use the official channel for any exchange information. Big Mountain overlaps the same weekend, so those two events require a choice rather than a single itinerary.

New Year: beach or Chiang Mai arts gathering?

Festival Dates Destination Festival style Official route
Fly To The Moon 29 December 2026–2 January 2027 Koh Mak Island stages and a beach holiday Festival
Sola Luna 30 December 2026–3 January 2027 Khanom Psytrance at a coastal gathering Festival
Imagine Music & Arts 30 December 2026–1 January 2027 Lanna Resort, Chiang Mai Music, art and New Year celebration Festival

All three cross the New Year holiday. Reserve the accommodation and main transport before adding extra activities. Koh Mak requires an island connection; Khanom is a southern mainland trip; Imagine pairs with Chiang Mai and the surrounding hills.

Gaia Beats: Best Music and Arts Festival

  • Thursday 21 January: arrive in Chiang Mai, settle into your room, collect camping essentials and cash.
  • Friday 22 January: take your booked transfer to Mae On, set up camp and explore the site.
  • Saturday 23 January: enjoy music and creative activities, with time for the venue’s hot springs if you choose.
  • Sunday 24 January: make the final festival day your focus and keep the evening travel plan clear.
  • Monday 25 January: pack up and leave the campsite by midday; stay in Chiang Mai or continue your northern Thailand trip.

This is a suggested itinerary, not a performance timetable. The organiser’s first-timer’s guide covers arrival, camping and transport choices.

For us, a conscious and transformational experience means making room for creative participation, community and time in nature alongside the music. Gaia Beats brings those elements into one weekend through its workshops, locally rooted participation and camping setting.

April and July: choose a different season

April is Songkran season, with S2O’s water-filled EDM format offering a Bangkok-focused trip. The 2026 S2O edition ran 11–13 April. July is the recent seasonal home of Pai Jazz & Blues; its 2026 edition ran 3–5 July across Pai venues. These previous-edition dates explain the seasonal pattern rather than providing future booking dates.

Choose April for Songkran energy or July for a small-town jazz trip. Choose January for a northern Thailand camping weekend and cooler evenings. The genre guide helps turn that seasonal choice into a musical one.

Build the trip around one main event

The best itinerary gives your chosen festival enough time. Allow arrival, recovery and intercity travel rather than filling every available date. Pair the calendar with our travel guide and cost guide, then book through the organiser’s linked channel.
